Department of Labor, Bureau of Rehabilitation Services, Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, is seeking a Rehabilitation Counselor II – Targeted Caseload. The role spans Regions I-III, serving clients in Augusta, Lewiston, and Portland.

You will provide vocational rehabilitation to adults with I/DD, collaborating with families, providers, employers and schools to boost competitive employment outcomes. Primary responsibilities include counseling, building partnerships, and assessing client

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a field related to vocational rehabilitation and 2 years of experience assisting individuals with disabilities, employers and other stakeholders with their employment and workforce needs.

Responsabilités

• Establishing a counseling relationship and partnership with consumers.
• Contacting business and industry groups, advocating for clients, and assisting to place clients in jobs.
• Building partnerships within the workforce development system.
• Evaluating medical and psychological information to develop and implement a rehabilitation plan leading to employment.
• Maintaining accurate documentation using AWARE computer-based client data system.
