Job summary

The State of Maine’s Department of Labor seeks a Rehabilitation Counselor I for Portland area offices. This professional role supports vocational rehabilitation for people with disabilities, coordinating services, documentation, and workshops.

Based in Portland with local travel, you will work in a team environment, deliver outreach and assessment, and maintain case records in a paperless system as needed.

Qualifications

• Four-year combination of training, experience, and/or education in vocational rehabilitation program development and implementation.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English (verbal and written).
• Proficient with technology and office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with mail and office operations and maintain case documentation.
• Prepare and track requested documentation and invoices.
• Facilitate VR orientation sessions and workshops for clients.
• Collaborate with teams in-person and via Zoom to support clients.
