Qualifications

• 1-2 years of customer service or related experience; licensed professional in a regulated industry or similar related areas.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of computer applications such as Adobe Acrobat Pro, Word, Outlook and Excel preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and conduct inspections of cosmetology and barber establishments and schools to ensure compliance with state laws and regulations.
• Verify licensure of professionals and businesses and related documentation.
• Prepare detailed reports of inspections.
• Testify at administrative or judicial proceedings regarding inspection procedures and findings.
• Receive and refer inquiries from licensees, students, consumers, public officials and the general public to appropriate board personnel.
• Travel up to 95% of the time with minimal overnight travel.
