Job summary

The Regulatory Auditor position with the Division of Professional Registration, Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors in Jefferson City, MO, focuses on auditing preneed business records for regulatory compliance. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, auditing, risk management, or closely related areas.
• Knowledge of computer applications such as Adobe Acrobat Pro, Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze preneed contracts between consumers and preneed sellers in the funeral industry.
• Reconcile and evaluate the registration and handling of preneed contract monies and other funds collected.
• Collect, analyze and evaluate evidence for use in legal actions and preparing detailed reports of findings.
• Testify in court and hearings concerning findings of audits.
• Coordinate communication relating to ongoing examinations/audits with other agencies when joint efforts are needed.
