Job summary

The State of Missouri, Division of Professional Registration, Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors, seeks a Regulatory Auditor to perform examinations of preneed records for regulatory compliance.

You will analyze complex financial and operational data, prepare detailed reports, explain statutes, and maintain professional communications with licensees and the public. Some day and overnight travel is required.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in finance, accounting, auditing, risk management, business management or related fields.
• Up to one year of professional experience in accounting, finance, auditing or insurance.
• Knowledge of Acrobat Pro, Word, Outlook and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Conduct periodic or special examinations of preneed business records for regulatory conformance.
• Review and analyze complex financial and operational information and develop reports.
• Present findings and testify in court/hearings as needed.
• Coordinate communication with other agencies on joint examinations/audits.
