The Regulatory Auditor role with the State of Missouri's Division of Professional Registration, Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors, offers exposure to professional regulation and financial audits of preneed contracts. You will analyze complex records, prepare reports, testify in hearings, and collaborate with other agencies while traveling for site visits.

Qualifikationen

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with specialization in finance, accounting, auditing, risk management or related fields, including six semester hours in accounting.
• Up to one year of professional experience in accounting, finance, auditing or insurance.
• Additional qualifying experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis for education deficiencies.
• Knowledge of computer applications such as Adobe Acrobat Pro, Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.

Aufgaben

• Review and audit preneed contracts between consumers and preneed sellers in the funeral industry.
• Reconcile and evaluate the registration and handling of preneed contract monies and other funds collected.
• Collect, analyze and evaluate evidence for use in legal actions and preparing detailed reports of findings.
• Testify in court and hearings concerning findings of audits.
• Coordinate communication relating to ongoing examinations/audits with other agencies when joint efforts are needed.
