Job summary

Mercor, a San Francisco–headquartered company connecting elite regulatory talent with AI research labs, is hiring a Regulatory Law Expert for remote work. You will design real-workflows and multi-step tasks, building regulatory-change analyses and compliance memos to support frontier AI benchmarking.

Qualifications

JD and active bar admission.
3+ years of regulatory experience at an AmLaw 100 firm or Fortune 500 in-house regulatory/compliance.
Background in financial-services, healthcare, energy, telecom/tech, or environmental/consumer-product/food-and-drug regulation.
Daily use of Westlaw/LexisNexis, Refinitiv World-Check/Dow Jones Risk & Compliance, and CUBE.
Strong analytical thinking and writing skills.

Responsibilities

Build a realistic digital workspace centered on regulatory tasks and memos.
Design multi-step workflows based on real regulatory-change analyses.
Collaborate with regulatory attorneys to shape task scope and realism.
Work asynchronously with research teams to refine task designs and evaluation criteria.
Contribute to frontier AI research and benchmarking for AI system training.
