Job summary

HealthCorps is seeking a Regional Program Coordinator to implement a community-wide wellness program in the Charleston, WV area. You will train and supervise near-peer mentors, engage school staff and partners, and lead health education initiatives in 10–20 school sites.

You will assess local health needs, track progress, and manage program delivery, including logistics, scheduling, and events, while traveling regionally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or Associate's degree/equivalent years of experience in a related field.
• Recent college graduate with a passion and commitment to health, education and service fields.
• A self-starter, organized, detail-oriented and creative individual.
• Experience with mentoring teens and building relationships.
• Passion for addressing health disparities in a community/educational setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop Strong Relationships with local universities and partners to ensure effective delivery of health programming.
• Build and Lead a Team by recruiting, training and overseeing near-peer mentors.
• Assess Your Community’s Needs by researching health inequities and measuring impact.
• Support Delivery of Health Education Program across the community and school year.
• Direct Program Delivery including teaching lessons and hosting events.
• Share and Make Aware through social media and stakeholder reports.
• Commit to HealthCorps mission and ensure health is accessible for all.
