Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Regional Permitting Manager – Central to lead permitting for utility-scale solar, BESS and HV projects across the Central region.

The role manages the permit lifecycle from preconstruction due diligence to closeout and serves as the primary contact with AHJs, consultants, and internal teams. Initially remote, then full-time in-office in Denver, CO or Dallas, TX, with extensive travel.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of permitting, land use, or project development in utility-scale solar or EPC construction.
• Hands-on experience managing permitting for large-scale solar, BESS, or HV projects from application through closeout.
• Deep knowledge of AHJ requirements and regulatory frameworks in the region.

Responsibilities

• Manage full permitting lifecycle for projects in the region from strategy to closeout.
• Prepare and coordinate permit applications (building, electrical, grading, SWPPP, CUP, fire, etc.).
• Maintain permitting records, logs, and status reports for active projects.
• Track permitting timelines and communicate with Project Managers and internal teams.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies; escalate complex issues as needed.
• Coordinate with SOLV Engineering to ensure design meets AHJ requirements before submittal.
• Oversee plan check responses, correction letters, and resubmittals.
• Ensure permits are obtained expediently while remaining compliant.
