Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Regional Permitting Manager for the Central Region to lead all permitting activities for utility-scale solar, BESS, and HV projects. This role drives permit strategy, submission coordination, and closeout, coordinating with AHJs, consultants, and internal teams.

Initial work is remote, then the role will be based full-time in Denver, CO or Dallas, TX with extensive travel (50%+). A 7+ year track record in permitting and a related bachelor’s degree are required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in permitting, land use, or project development in utility-scale solar or EPC construction.
• Deep knowledge of AHJ requirements and regulatory frameworks within the assigned region.
• Ability to read and interpret civil, electrical, and structural drawings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to build relationships with AHJs and project teams.

Responsibilities

• Permitting Execution: manage full permitting lifecycle from strategy to closeout; prepare and coordinate permit applications; maintain logs and status reports; track timelines; identify risks and mitigation strategies.
• AHJ & Stakeholder Engagement: serve as primary contact with AHJs; build relationships with building departments and regulatory bodies; attend pre-application meetings and hearings.
• Preconstruction & Business Development Support: conduct feasibility assessments; provide permitting input to Estimating and Preconstruction; participate in kickoff meetings.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: communicate permitting requirements to SOLV Engineering, Scheduling, Estimating, and Field teams; ensure inspections are scheduled and passed; stay current on codes and AHJ requirements.
