Merck is seeking a Regional Medical Scientific Director to lead scientific exchange and research activities across the US territory, including coordination with national and regional SLs. The role involves senior-level clinical discussions, protocol leadership, and collaboration with GCSA and GCTO to advance company-sponsored and investigator-initiated studies.

Formación

• PhD, PharmD, DNP, DO, or MD required.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant therapeutic area experience beyond the degree program.
• Ability to conduct doctoral-level discussions with external stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of FDA, OIG, HIPAA, and related guidelines and regulations.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communications skills.
• Experience in oncology or malignant hematology is highly regarded.

Responsabilidades

• Develops professional relationships with national and regional SLs to access approved medical information.
• Conducts peer-to-peer scientific discussions and maintains a medical contact within the company.
• Directs SL inquiries on issues outside the scope to appropriate resources.
• Keeps current knowledge of scientific and clinical environments in AOIs.
• Initiates discussions with SLs and investigators to align with study concepts and trials.
• Leads protocol discussions and supports investigator-sponsored studies.
