Qualifications

• PhD, PharmD, DNP, DO, or MD required.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant therapeutic area experience beyond the terminal degree program.
• Ability to conduct doctoral-level discussions with key external stakeholders.
• Dedication to scientific excellence with a focus on scientific education and dialogue.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and networking skills.
• Thorough understanding of FDA, OIG, HIPAA, and other ethical guidelines, laws, and regulations relevant to the pharmaceutical industry.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and work effectively in a constantly changing environment.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, OneNote).
• Familiarity with virtual meeting platforms.
• Willingness to transform environment, culture, and business landscape.
• Adherence to field and corporate policies and Global Medical Scientific Affairs strategy, including SOPs, GCP, and administrative responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Develops professional relationships with national and regional SLs to ensure access to company-approved medical and scientific information.
• Conducts peer-to-peer scientific discussions and maintains a reliable presence with SLs.
• Addresses scientific questions and directs inquiries on issues outside the MD scope to appropriate resources.
• Maintains current knowledge of dynamic scientific environment in the AOI for the therapeutic area.
• Initiates discussions with SLs and potential investigators to determine alignment with research strategies and study concepts.
• Enhances understanding of investigator-sponsored research foundations and goals.
• Recommends study sites and investigators for phase II‑IV programs; conducts Site Initiation Visits and addresses enrollment barriers.
• Leads protocol development in collaboration with GCTO.
• Addresses questions from investigators about participation in company-sponsored studies.
• Engages in scientific congresses and meetings for data exchange.
• Gathers feedback and data to understand medical needs and priorities of SLs and patients.
• Leads by example as a role model for building and retaining a diverse workforce.
