Merck & Co. seeks a Regional Medical Scientific Director (MD/DO/PhD) to serve as a therapeutic and disease expert, exchanging scientific information with Scientific Leaders and guiding inquiries outside the director's scope to appropriate resources.

Qualifications

• PhD, PharmD, DNP, DO, or MD required.
• 3+ years of relevant therapeutic area experience beyond the terminal degree program.
• Ability to conduct doctoral-level discussions with key external stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of FDA, OIG, HIPAA, and other regulatory guidelines.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and networking skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite and virtual meeting platforms.

Responsibilities

• Engages in bidirectional scientific exchange with national and regional SLs.
• Directs scholarly inquiries and maintains medical contact within the company.
• Supports investigator-sponsored research and company-sponsored trials.
• Leads site initiation discussions and identifies investigators for trials.
• Engages in scientific congresses and medical meetings to facilitate data exchange.
• Gathers feedback to understand medical needs and priorities of SLs and patients.
