Qualifications
- Master's degree in Medical Genetics/Counseling with clinical training.
- Board certified or eligible by the American Board of Genetic Counseling or ABMG.
- 3+ years as a practicing genetic counselor preferred.
- Oncology experience preferred.
- Knowledge of hereditary cancer risk assessment and pedigree software is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Support the GREAT Program in the assigned region.
- Provide genetic counseling to patients and families with cancer history.
- Coordinate genetic testing and obtain insurance approvals as needed.
- Develop pedigrees and perform risk assessments.
- Deliver education to providers and staff; lead regional efforts.
- Assist with program development and quality improvement.
