Job summary

Providence is calling for a Genetic Counselor to provide remote genetic counseling via telemedicine across the organization, supporting genetics program implementation and collaboration with leadership, physicians, and staff.

The role includes serving as a flexible clinical resource for regions with limited genetics capacity and participating in education, quality improvement, and research activities to grow genomics programs.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Genetic Counseling/Clinical Genetics.
• Upon hire: Genetic Counselor License - State Board - where applicable.
• Upon hire: National Certified Genetic Counselor - ABGC.
• 3 years' experience providing patient-facing genetic counseling and risk assessment.
• Preferred: 1 year experience with alternative service delivery models, including population screening.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality genetic counseling services across the Providence organization through telemedicine.
• Support implementation and growth of system genetics programs in collaboration with leadership and clinicians.
• Serve as a flexible clinical resource for regions with limited or emerging genetics capacity.
• Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences, education, quality improvement, research, and program development.
