Job summary

The University of Wisconsin-Stout Polytechnic invites applications for a Regional First-Year Admissions Counselor covering the Madison and Milwaukee area. This 12-month, fully remote role reports to the Assistant Director of Admissions-Recruitment and focuses on expanding outreach, evaluating applications, and guiding prospective students and families.

The successful candidate will travel up to 75% within the region, build partnerships with high schools and counselors, and contribute to building

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required by hire date.
• Experience in admissions, recruiting, sales, education, or related fields.
• Experience working with diverse backgrounds.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Excellent public speaking skills; able to present to groups.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities for admissions and outreach events.
• Review and respond to student applications per policies.
• Counsel prospective and admitted students on educational planning and careers.
• May supervise staff or lead a program area.
• Build and maintain partnerships for outreach, recruitment, and admission.
• Engage in outreach events representing the university.
