Job summary

University of Wisconsin Oshkosh is seeking an Admissions Counselor to lead undergraduate recruitment and counseling. The role focuses on outreach, personal advising, and enrollment goals across Wisconsin and beyond, with extensive fall travel and on-campus or virtual information sessions.

You will engage with students and families, collaborate with school counselors, and use data to tailor communications and strategy.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree.
Strong communication, public speaking, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfortable with CRM and data systems.
Demonstrated cultural competency and commitment to fostering access, inclusion, and student success across a broad range of backgrounds and experiences.
Valid driver's license for at least two years and willingness to travel (including overnights and weekends).
Access to reliable internet for occasional remote work.

Responsibilities

Manage recruitment strategies within an assigned geographic territory.
Represent UW Oshkosh at high schools, community colleges, college fairs, and other outreach events.
Lead on-campus and virtual information sessions, open houses, and workshops.
Cultivate relationships with school counselors, community leaders, and influencers.
Serve as the primary contact for students and families from your territory.
