Job summary

Valmont Industries, Inc. in Omaha, Nebraska, is seeking a Regional Continuous Improvement Manager to drive CI initiatives across North American sites.

You will coach leaders, implement Kaizen, 5S, VSM, Six Sigma, TPM and other methodologies to deliver measurable savings and process excellence. You will travel 50-75% domestically, mentoring managers and staff, and partner with the Director of Operations to align CI roadmaps with business goals while embedding a culture of continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience in operations, manufacturing, or CI.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Visio) and CI project management tools.
• Demonstrated expertise in multiple CI methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, TOC, etc.).
• Proven ability to lead a value stream mapping workshop and drive data-based improvements.
• Experience leading cross-functional improvement projects and delivering measurable results.
• Travel domestically 50-75% as part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach CI events across teams, removing barriers to performance.
• Develop and improve processes, architecture, requirements, and metrics.
• Diagnose workflow impediments and apply appropriate CI methods to reduce waste.
• Mentor site leaders to embed CI principles and leadership behaviors.
• Plan and facilitate PDCA cycles and CI activities aligned with roadmaps.
• Establish CI metrics and reporting for stakeholders.
• Coordinate resource needs, training, and internal controls.
• Lead TPM workshops, Standard Work sessions, SMED projects, RCA, and VSM transformations.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and organizational resilience.
