Job summary

YA Group, a leading professional services firm, seeks a Regional Contents Consultant to deliver high‑quality contents loss consulting for insurers, TPAs, adjusters, and businesses. You will conduct on-site fieldwork, document inventories, and advise on restoration vs.

total loss with defensible valuations. This role requires independent judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex assignments across multiple clients.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of contents restoration, contents consulting, or large-loss experience.
• Strong understanding of inventories, restoration, and total-loss evaluation.
• Experience documenting complex residential and commercial losses.
• Knowledge of depreciation, RCV, and ACV methodologies.
• Proficiency with Excel and high-volume inventory data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to manage assignments, timelines, and client expectations.
• Willingness to travel for deployments to large-loss projects.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site inspections and field assessments of contents losses.
• Develop and oversee detailed inventories with photos, descriptions, quantities, and conditions.
• Evaluate restoration versus total loss and advise on salvageability and replacement.
• Review supporting claim documentation (invoices, receipts, photographs).
• Perform RCV/ACV valuation, inventory verification, and audits.
• Support field operations and project workflows on complex assignments.
• Prepare preliminary reports and valuation documents for clients.
• Regularly communicate with clients, adjusters, insureds, and vendors.
• Lead client meetings and provide status updates on scope and timelines.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate, timely outcomes.
• Provide mentorship and quality control for junior staff.
