Job summary

YA is seeking a Regional Contents Consultant to deliver high-quality consulting on contents and business personal property losses for clients, including insurers and adjusters. You will evaluate complex losses, supervise inventories, and provide defensible valuations and reports.

You will collaborate with internal Contents and Valuation teams, guide junior staff, and travel to deployment sites for major assignments.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of contents restoration, consulting, property insurance, or large-loss experience.
• Strong understanding of contents and business personal property claims and inventories.
• Experience documenting complex residential and commercial losses.
• Knowledge of RCV, ACV, depreciation, and market-based valuation.
• Experience reviewing restoration estimates, invoices, inventories, and documentation.
• Strong Excel skills and handling high-volume data.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to independently manage assignments, timelines, and client expectations.
• Ability to travel for deployments to large-loss projects.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site inspections and field assessments of contents and business personal property.
• Develop and oversee detailed inventories with photos, descriptions, quantities, and conditions.
• Evaluate restoration versus total loss and advise on salvageability and replacement.
• Review and analyze inventories, estimates, invoices, and support documentation.
• Perform RCV/ACV valuation, inventory verification, reconciliation, and audits.
• Support total-loss inventory recreation when needed.
• Manage field operations and workflows on large assignments.
• Prepare preliminary reports, ROM assessments, inventories, and valuation reports.
• Communicate with clients, adjusters, insureds, contractors, and vendors.
• Lead client meetings and provide updates on scope, timelines, and deliverables.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate, timely work products.
• Provide technical oversight and quality control of junior consultants.
