Job summary

Oakland University is seeking an Admissions Adviser to recruit, admit, and orient prospective students from a remote location based in Kalamazoo, MI. The role involves travel across the region and collaboration with campus programs to support enrollment goals.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) and experience recruiting students, with strong organizational and communication skills and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• A minimum of one (1) year experience recruiting students for educational opportunities.
• Ability to travel extensively (in and out of state) throughout the academic year, primarily in Southwestern Michigan.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and driving record acceptable to the University by the University’s insurance carrier.
• Ability to work extended hours.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others.
