Job summary

Icon Health seeks a Referral Coordinator for a part-time, 4-month temporary role, fully remote. You will manage insurance prior authorizations, referrals, and scheduling for OrthoPass patients, coordinating with providers and care teams.

The candidate is bilingual in Spanish, highly organized and detail-oriented, with 2–3 years of prior authorization/referral workflow experience and strong communication skills. This role supports patient access to orthopedic care.

Qualifications

• Experience: 2–3 years processing insurance prior authorization referrals (Required).
• Excellent written and verbal communication; fluent with patients and providers by phone/electronically.
• Strong time management and attention to detail; multi-case handling.
• Familiarity with EHR and referral tools; HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Set up process and workflow to obtain insurance prior authorizations (primary responsibility).
• Receive, track, and process referrals from providers and partner organizations.
• Process insurance authorizations for outbound referrals, including documentation and denials/appeals.
• Verify insurance and referral information for completeness and accuracy.
• Communicate updates to referring providers and maintain timely feedback loops.
