Job summary

Trueline Talent is assisting a California-based client, a sophisticated commercial real estate litigation law firm, in hiring a Real Estate Litigation Paralegal. This fully remote role requires residence in Southern California and supports attorneys in complex landlord/tenant matters.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years of landlord/tenant litigation experience, strong California eviction knowledge, and the ability to manage deadlines and case milestones independently in a remote setting.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional paralegal experience in landlord/tenant or real estate litigation.
• Hands-on experience with unlawful detainers and California eviction proceedings.
• Strong knowledge of California state court procedures and deadlines.
• Ability to manage multiple active matters with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Support attorneys throughout the lifecycle of commercial real estate litigation matters.
• Handle a significant volume of landlord/tenant and unlawful detainer matters.
• Navigate the California eviction process from notice to judgment and enforcement.
• Prepare, organize, and maintain pleadings, motions, discovery, exhibits, and court docs.
• Assist with drafting and filing unlawful detainers, answers, motions, and discovery.
• Track court deadlines, hearings, trial dates, and case milestones.
• Coordinate filings with California courts and communicate with clients and opposing counsel.
• Assist with discovery and document production; prepare for hearings and trials.
• Maintain organized electronic case files; work independently with attorneys.
