Job summary

Transwestern is seeking a Client Accountant to perform daily property accounting duties for assigned properties, including financial reports, accruals, reconciliations, and SOC1 controls. You will use MRI and Yardi to support reporting deadlines and deliver the Transwestern Experience to tenants and owners.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in accounting/finance and 2–3 years of property management accounting experience, with strong GAAP knowledge and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field preferred.
• 2-3 years of recent fee-based property management accounting experience.
• Knowledge of GAAP and budgeting/reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review tenant billings and adjustments.
• Post cash receipt batches and manage AP batches.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and reports.
• Reconcile bank accounts and ensure accuracy of ledgers.
• Prepare owner distributions and revenue/expense reconciliations.
• Maintain documentation for accounting packages and backups.
