Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Accountant to join our finance team supporting the North America market. The role combines payroll and benefits accounting responsibilities with close collaboration to ensure accurate monthly close and reporting.

The position is hybrid in Northeast New Jersey, offering 1-2 days on site and opportunities to grow within a global workforce solutions company committed to diversity and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of general accounting activities and journal entry preparation.
• BS degree in finance or accounting preferred.
• Working knowledge of SAP, MS Office products, and Blackline.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close journal entries, including payroll, benefits accounting, deferred compensation, and EPP.
• Partner with the Payroll team to ensure accurate payroll processing and reporting.
• Prepare manual intercompany payroll invoices and review monthly payroll variance reports.
• Investigate and analyze variances, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Evaluate existing processes and propose improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and internal controls.
