Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Accountant to join the Finance Department supporting the North America Market. The role combines payroll processing, benefits accounting, and close participation to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Hybrid work in Northeast New Jersey, with 1-2 days onsite, offers growth in a dynamic, diverse environment and exposure to intercompany payroll processes, internal controls, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• BS degree in finance or accounting preferred.
• Working knowledge of SAP, MS Office Products, and Blackline.
• Solid understanding of general accounting activities and journal entry preparation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close journal entries, including payroll, benefits accounting, deferred compensation, and EPP.
• Partner with the Payroll team to ensure accurate payroll processing and reporting.
• Prepare manual intercompany payroll invoices and review monthly payroll variance reports.
• Investigate and analyze variances, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Evaluate existing processes and propose improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and internal controls.
