Job summary

Summa Health System is seeking a Certified Coder - Specialty Coding for full-time day shifts. The role includes coding review, data entry, denial reprocessing, and reconciling hospital services to ensure accurate charges and compliance.

You will work with ICD-10 and CPT coding in a multi-specialty setting, with remote work possible after training. Strong communication and attention to detail are essential, as is knowledge of EMR systems such as Epic.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a formal medical coding training program.
• Current coding certification required (CCA/CCS/CCS-P/CMC/CPC). RHIT acceptable with passing certification within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Code review and billing data entry.
• Reprocess coding denials and follow-up queues.
• Reconcile hospital services and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Support care coordination where applicable.
