Job summary

Unbound Academy in Arizona seeks a Reading Interventionist to plan and deliver virtual small-group and one-on-one sessions for grades 3–8, using assessment data to target fluency and comprehension gaps and adjust instruction.

This full-time W2 role emphasizes autonomy, data-driven progress monitoring, and motivating check-ins to build confidence. Compensation is $60,000 USD per year with weekly pay; hybrid work in Arizona is required. Experience with dyslexia support is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, literacy, or a closely related field.
• Reading intervention certification or endorsement (e.g., Arizona Reading Specialist K-12 or equivalent state certification).
• Specialized training or certification in dyslexia intervention (or related structured literacy approaches).
• At least 2 years of experience delivering small-group or one-on-one reading interventions for students in grades 3–8.
• Experience supporting students with dyslexia or related reading difficulties.
• Ability to interpret progress monitoring data and use it to plan and adjust instruction.
• Strong ability to engage and manage students in a virtual setting through clear, motivating communication.
• Available to work in a hybrid capacity in Arizona as needed.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver virtual small-group and one-on-one reading intervention sessions for students in grades 3–8.
• Use reading assessment data to target fluency and comprehension gaps and adjust instruction quickly.
• Differentiate activities across multiple reading levels, including support for dyslexia and related reading difficulties.
• Track progress in a clear, consistent way and use the data to plan the next sessions.
• Run structured motivation check-ins that build confidence, persistence, and pride in growth.
