The role requires detail-oriented, analytical individuals with strong AR knowledge, payer guidelines familiarity, and the ability to navigate discrepancies to improve KPI outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience with Dental Office workflows and Revenue Cycle functions including scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and claim submissions.
• Knowledge of reimbursement and compliance processes with all payors.
• Proficiency in practice management software, insurance portals, and banking reconciliation tools.
• Strong math, problem-solving, data entry, and 10-key typing skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication; able to work in a team or independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform AR follow-up to resolve unpaid or underpaid claims, denials, and aged balances.
• Audit accounts for accurate claim submission, payment application, and balance resolution.
• Review and resolve credit balances; process refunds to insurance and patients per policies.
• Post payments, including zero-dollar payments and remittance reconciliations.
• Apply adjustments and write-offs per payer contracts and guidelines.
• Monitor AR aging reports to reduce days in AR and AR over 90 days.
