Job summary

LanguageLine Solutions LLC is hiring remotely for a Work at Home Bilingual Rakhine-English Phone Interpreter. The role involves on-demand interpretation across healthcare, government, insurance, finance and more, from your home office as an independent contractor.

You will receive industry-leading training and support, with opportunities for advancement. Pay is $1.25–$1.40 per minute, and you must be fluently bilingual and legally authorized to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Fluent in Rakhine and English with cultural awareness.
• Strong listening and note-taking abilities for accurate interpretation.
• Ability to concentrate and remain neutral in sensitive calls.
• Reading and writing in the required languages is highly preferred.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States; 18+ years old.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly and interpret in a friendly, professional manner.
• Render meanings accurately following interpretation protocol.
• Speak clearly with proper pronunciation in both languages.
• Maintain professionalism and neutrality on all calls.
• Handle potentially emotional calls and maintain composure.
