Job summary

T2 Group is seeking a full-time Radiology Patient Scheduling Representative to support a leading healthcare organization from a remote/home office. You will coordinate scheduling for MRI, CT, Ultrasound, X-ray, Mammography, and other radiology services, ensuring timely access to care and accurate patient information.

Responsibilities include verifying demographics and insurance, educating patients on preparations, and documenting activities in the EMR while upholding HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; degrees preferred.
• Experience with Epic EMR/EHR and scheduling workflows.
• 1–3 years in healthcare scheduling or customer service preferred.
• Strong communication, confidentiality, and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Schedule radiology and diagnostic imaging procedures per physician orders.
• Review imaging orders for accuracy prior to scheduling.
• Verify patient demographics, insurance, and registration details.
• Answer inbound calls from patients and providers regarding appointments.
• Educate patients on preparation, documentation, arrival times and expectations.
• Coordinate appointments based on modality availability and patient needs.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain authorizations when required.
• Document scheduling activities and patient interactions in EMR systems.
• Maintain HIPAA/HITECH compliance and patient confidentiality.
• Provide professional, compassionate, patient-centered service.
• Meet productivity, quality, and customer service targets in a fast-paced setting.
• Shifts typically run 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM EST as needed.
