Job summary

T2 Group is seeking a full-time Radiology Patient Scheduling Representative to support a leading healthcare organization. This remote role coordinates patient scheduling for MRI, CT, ultrasound, X-ray and other imaging services, ensuring timely access to care and a compassionate scheduling experience.

You will work from home, verify patient demographics and insurance, and document scheduling activities in Epic EMR while adhering to HIPAA.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; associate/bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience using Epic EMR/EHR and scheduling workflows.
• 1–3 years in healthcare scheduling, patient access, call center, or medical office.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Schedule radiology and diagnostic imaging procedures per physician orders and protocols.
• Review imaging orders for completeness and accuracy prior to scheduling.
• Obtain and verify patient demographics, insurance, and registration information.
• Answer inbound calls from patients, physician offices, and healthcare providers.
• Educate patients on preparation instructions, required documentation, arrival times, and expectations.
• Coordinate appointment scheduling based on modality availability and patient needs.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain authorization when required.
• Document scheduling activities and patient interactions in designated systems.
• Maintain HIPAA, HITECH, and confidentiality standards.
• Provide professional, compassionate, patient-centered service.
• Meet productivity, quality, and customer service expectations in a fast-paced call center.
• Available to work shifts between 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM EST as needed.
