Job summary

Dignity Health Medical Foundation is seeking a Radiology Scheduler to be the first point of contact for imaging appointment scheduling. You will schedule, cancel, or reschedule exams, verify demographics and insurance, and educate patients on preparation and lab requirements.

The role emphasizes patient-centered service, problem solving, and collaboration with Radiologists and facility staff. Remote work setup is provided within the Greater Sacramento area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of centralized scheduling call center experience or 2+ years clinical healthcare experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Keyboarding and computer proficiency required; familiarity with standard office equipment.
• Team player who can multi-task, is proactive and detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Manage comprehensive patient scheduling in Cerner & GECB, including medical history, device screening, instructions, demographics, insurance, authorization, eligibility, and prior imaging coordination.
• Contribute to quality and performance improvement through participating in team initiatives.
• Demonstrate efficient resource management and adaptability to changes; use materials and equipment cost-effectively.
• Plan, prioritize, and coordinate work with others to meet deadlines and outcomes.
• Maintain professional, empathetic interactions with patients and ensure proper identification is worn at all times.
