Job summary

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute is seeking a Radiation Oncology Coder to ensure services are captured accurately in the EMR and billing systems. Expertise in ICD-10 and CPT coding with a focus on radiation oncology is required, and the role collaborates with denials and authorizations teams to meet billing accuracy targets.

Candidates should have at least 2 years of radiation coding experience, coding certifications preferred, and the ability to work in a multi-site environment.

Qualifications

• Proficient knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10, and CPT Coding required.
• Minimum of 2 years of radiation coding experience required.
• ROCC coding certification strongly preferred, or AAPC/AHIMA coding certification.

Responsibilities

• Assign appropriate charge levels and ICD specificity; review Medicare articles and NCCI updates.
• Review held charges in the billing system and process tickets within 3 business days.
• Coordinate with denials and authorizations teams to improve accuracy and compliance.
