• Experience providing tax consulting related to the Research and Development Tax Credit (IRC Section 41).
• Ability to interpret software development concepts and architecture when assessing R&D activities.
• Experience interviewing clients and drafting project narratives to document qualifying activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide tax consulting services related to the R&D Tax Credit and IRC Section 174 capitalization rules.
• Understand software development methodologies and related terms to evaluate R&D work.
• Conduct technical interviews to gather qualitative details on qualifying activities.
• Review technical documentation to draft narratives showing Section 41 qualification.
• Scope R&D benefits, conduct studies, perform tax research, and communicate with clients across industries.
• Create and update costing models to track expenditures and credits.
