Position Overview
Fourlane is seeking a QuickBooks Implementation Consultant to deliver client-facing accounting system implementations, financial consulting, and ongoing advisory services. This role combines hands‑on accounting execution, QuickBooks expertise, and consulting project work.
You will work directly with clients to stabilize, optimize, and scale financial systems, providing consulting and training across QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, and ERP platforms such as Acumatica or NetSuite. Consultants are expected to maintain strong billable utilization, manage client relationships, and contribute to high levels of client satisfaction and retention.

100% Remote / Virtual. Must reside in Austin, TX or any of the following states: AL, AZ, CO, CT, FL, GA, IL, NC, NV, OH, OR, SC, TN, TX, VA, WI.
Employment Details
Job Type: Full‑Time, Exempt (Salaried). Compensation: $55,000–$75,000 base salary + quarterly bonus opportunities.
What You’ll Actually Work On
- System implementations, conversions, and migrations, such as transitioning clients to QuickBooks Online Advanced or consolidating multi‑entity environments
- QuickBooks file rebuilds and data cleanup, repairing corrupted or bloated files and restoring reliable financial reporting
- Workflow and process redesign, improving efficiency across accounting and operations teams
- Client training and enablement, ensuring systems work long after implementation
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Implement Accounting Processes: Build and improve accounting workflows to streamline operations and enhance productivity
- Lead System Implementations & Conversions: Manage system transitions to ensure seamless execution and long‑term success
- Project Management: Independently lead small‑scale projects from initiation through completion
- Client‑Facing Consulting: Engage directly with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions
- QuickBooks Training & Consultation: Provide hands‑on training, troubleshooting, and optimization support
- End‑to‑End Bookkeeping & Accounting: Perform AR, AP, reconciliations, and monthly close with accuracy and consistency
- Financial Operational Support: Conduct file assessments, maintain reconciliations, and assist with month‑end close
- Secondary Project Support: Collaborate as a secondary project manager on larger initiatives
- Client File Management: Maintain accurate and organized client records
- Client Engagement & Growth: Schedule and conduct training sessions and ongoing services with clients
- Communication: Maintain strong written and verbal communication with clients and internal teams
- Time Tracking: Accurately log billable and non‑billable hours in the CRM

- Utilize tools such as Salesforce, Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks Desktop, and QuickBooks Online to optimize workflows
Required Skills & Experience
- 5–7 years of relevant accounting or consulting experience
- Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and best practices
- Strong experience with QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online
- Experience with Salesforce and Microsoft Excel preferred
