Job summary

LanguageLine Solutions LLC is seeking a Quichua Interpreter to work from home in the United States as a Phone Interpreter. This independent contractor position handles on-demand calls between Quichua and English speakers across multiple industries, including healthcare, government, and finance.

You will maintain professionalism, ensure clear communication, and work in a quiet, secure home office. No written translation is required, and visa sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Quichua and English with cultural dynamics awareness.
• Ability to assess regional and accent differences for LEP communication.
• Strong listening, retention and note-taking skills for accurate interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Respond to interpreting sessions promptly in a friendly, professional manner.
• Render concepts accurately according to interpretation protocols, avoiding omissions.
• Speak clearly in both languages with proper pronunciation and politeness.
• Maintain professionalism and calm on sessions, including emergency calls (e.g. 911).
• Remain punctual and available during work hours.
• Follow client instructions to ensure LEP needs are met with consent.
