Job summary

Alt is building a pricing-first culture for a fast-moving collectibles market. The role focuses on testing new data signals, validating predictive power, and improving automated pricing decisions across markets.

You’ll collaborate with expert pricers, data scientists, and ML engineers to ensure model confidence and measurable pricing accuracy. Remote-first environment with equity and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Track record of building pricing or forecasting models in production.
• ,
• Familiarity with tree-based models and newer approaches such as LLMs, time-series foundation models, and GNNs.
• Depth in non-traditional or illiquid assets (collectibles, art, real estate, etc.).
• Experience combining multiple models or signals through ensemble methods.
• Market prediction with alternative data, including unstructured sources.

Responsibilities

• Identify new data signals and validate predictive power with backtesting.
• Detect market manipulation and unusual activity to prevent valuation distortion.
• Design models for cross-market pricing in inefficient markets.
• Evaluate pricing models and decide on usage or blending strategies.
• Decide when new model versions go live and routing changes.
• Set research priorities and communicate price-mred movements.
