Alt is unlocking the value of alternative assets with a pricing engine that shapes what collectors see and what they can borrow against their cards. This hands-on role focuses on testing new signals, validating price moves, and deciding which models to trust when disagreements arise.

You will work closely with data scientists and ML engineers to push pricing accuracy and productionize new signals. The role reports to the Head of Pricing Automation and emphasizes quantitative decision-making with

Qualifications

• Track record of building pricing or forecasting models in production.
• Depth in non-traditional or illiquid assets such as collectibles, art, or alternative credit.
• Experience combining multiple models or signals via ensemble methods.
• Market prediction with alternative data, including unstructured sources.
• Statistical rigor: experimental design, backtesting, dealing with noisy data.
• Proficient in SQL and Python.
• Hands-on work building with AI or agents.
• Clear communication to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Identify new data signals and validate predictive power through backtesting.
• Detect potential market manipulation and unusual activity.
• Design models for cross-market pricing in an inefficient market.
• Evaluate pricing models and decide which to use or how to blend them.
• Decide when new model versions go live and routing changes.
• Set research priorities and communicate price movement reasoning.
