Job summary

Confidential Client in the Greater Cincinnati / Southwest Ohio area seeks a Quality Specialist to support SQF, FSQR, and regulatory compliance for warehouse and blending operations.

This hands-on role acts as backup SQF Practitioner, manages verification, documentation, and CAPA, ensuring production moves with confidence. Remote work possible within a reasonable commute; travel minimal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 2–5 years SQF-certified manufacturing experience.
• Fundamental food-safety principles for warehouse operations and ingredient blending.

Responsibilities

• Serve as backup SQF Practitioner and protect the site SQF system.
• Maintain HACCP / Preventive Controls program.
• Perform PCQI record verification and hold exposure when needed.
• Reconcile hold inventory and support SQF management meetings.
• Conduct administrative tasks in food-safety software to keep systems operational.
• Review COAs, generate & maintain product specifications and program statements.
• Manage product/BOM status in ERP and fulfill internal document requests.
• Support investigations with data trends and CAPA tracking.
• Participate in GMP/walkthroughs, audits, and regulatory inspections.
• Track training and FSQR document lifecycle; report FSQR metrics.
• Provide crisis-management support and back up the Quality Technician.
