Optimal Care is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Nurse to ensure clinical documentation meets state, federal, and payer requirements while supporting high-quality care across hospice and home health services.

You will review records, aid coding accuracy, and participate in regulatory reviews and QAPI initiatives. This remote role supports Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana with occasional travel to clinical sites.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing.
• Current State License as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum 3 years of health care management.
• Minimum 2 years of hospice care experience.
• Willingness to travel for audits/training/compliance reviews.

Responsabilités

• Review medical records for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory alignment.
• Support accurate coding and documentation practices (ICD-10).
• Manage regulatory processes such as start-of-care reviews and re-certifications.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen workflows and improve outcomes.
• Contribute to QAPI initiatives and staff education.
