Job summary

Liberty University is recruiting a QA/Testing Engineer for our IT Development team, offering remote work within the United States. The role focuses on designing test plans, executing test cases, and building automated testing suites while collaborating with product teams to ensure end-user quality.

Required are a Bachelor's degree and experience in manual/ exploratory testing, with preference for automation scripting, SQL testing, and CI/CD familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience in writing test cases, manual testing, and exploratory testing is required.
• Basic automated test scripting and monitoring testing.
• Familiarity with SQL testing and Agile software development processes is required.
• Preferred: ASTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level.
• Preferred: Familiarity with PowerShell and CI/CD tools (GCP, Azure, OpenShift).
• Preferred: Understanding of engineering science and technology applications.
• Preferred: Experience with SDLC tools like Jira, TFS, or equivalent.
• Strong verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Design test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures.
• Participate in product design reviews to provide input on requirements and designs.
• Analyze data to identify or resolve operational problems.
• Write, execute and monitor automated testing suites.
• Perform exploratory testing for the application under test.
