Job summary

OmniOn Power Inc. seeks a Quality Assurance Specialist to audit engineering specifications, drawings, BOMs, and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance with customer requirements. This role drives corrective actions and tracks Cost of Quality metrics.

It is 100% remote and reports to the Services Quality Leader. Ideal candidates have ~5 years of telecom QA experience, strong Excel/SharePoint skills, and experience with ERP/MRP or PLM/document-control systems.

Qualifications

• Completion of high school diploma or GED.
• About 5 years of telecom industry experience including DC power, toll/fiber installation, or project management.
• Knowledge of quality management systems and audit practices.
• Proficiency with Excel and SharePoint for data analysis and cost of quality tracking.
• Strong written and verbal communication to document audit evidence.
• Experience with ERP/MRP, PLM/PDM, or document control systems.
• Understanding of Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) categories.
• Previous participation in internal or customer audits.
• Certification or training in internal auditing (visa sponsorship not provided).

Responsibilities

• Audit engineering specifications for accuracy and completeness; document findings and drive corrective actions.
• Audit engineering packages (drawings, BOMs, docs) for compliance with requirements.
• Audit Methods of Procedure and End of Job packages for safety and quality.
• Ensure version control aligns customer requirements with service deliverables.
• Track CoPQ metrics and support corrective actions across teams.
• Initiate corrective actions with Engineering, Quality, PM, and Operations.
• Support TL 9000 metric collection, validation, and reporting.
• Prepare audit checklists, gather evidence, conduct interviews, and track actions.
• Communicate recurring issues and propose process improvements.
• Maintain audit records and evidence with proper confidentiality.
