Job summary

Octave is seeking a QA-focused Software Consultant to assure Forte 3D Plant/Outfitting software quality through both manual and automated tests. You will coordinate with cross-functional teams to define testing strategies across regression, new features, and performance metrics.

You will create test scenarios, configure environments, analyze results, and drive defect resolution with development. Remote-friendly role with collaboration across global teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Structural/Civil Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Strong interpersonal, problem solving and multi-tasking skills.
• Working knowledge of PowerShell scripting a plus.
• Working knowledge of Windows Server Operating Systems and relational databases (ORACLE, MSSQL Server) a plus.
• Working knowledge of agile software development methodology (scrum) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Quality assurance of Forte 3D Plant/Outfitting software using manual and automated tests.
• Define regression, new feature, and performance testing framework and metrics.
• Create and execute automated and manual test procedures and scenarios.
• Identify bottlenecks, monitor performance, and communicate results to leadership.
• File and track defects, coordinating with development to drive fixes.
