Job summary

Vecima Networks Inc. is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to conduct end-to-end testing of vCMTS software features and system workflows. This position involves working closely with cross-functional development teams in Linux-based environments.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and over 5 years of professional testing experience. The role includes validating DOCSIS and networking behavior, as well as improving testing processes in a supportive remote work environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in software testing, preferably in networking or telecommunications systems.
• Experience with VoIP and PacketCable service validation in cable broadband environments.

Responsibilities

• Design comprehensive test scenarios based on product requirements.
• Execute end-to-end system tests for vCMTS features.
• Perform manual and automated functional testing.
• Conduct risk-based testing to identify high-impact issues.
• Collaborate with software teams to review feature testability.
• Validate DOCSIS and networking behavior across configurations.

Skills

Advanced knowledge of software testing techniques

Experience with test automation using Python

Strong working knowledge of Linux

Ability to analyze logs and traces

Experience working in cross-functional teams

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Effective communication with technical stakeholders

Familiarity with DOCSIS and broadband access

Education
