Job summary

NVIDIA AI in Santa Clara, CA is seeking a Senior QA Software Test Engineer to join the NVIDIA-Cumulus Ethernet group. You will participate in requirements reviews, develop test plans, execute tests and build automated test suites for Cumulus Linux features in the Ethernet switch/router domain.

The role emphasizes hands-on testing of Layer2/Layer3 features, test automation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams, with growth opportunities and equity benefits.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering/Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of demonstrable experience in Software Quality Engineering.
• Strong skills in Python or other scripting languages; Ansible is a plus.
• Strong technical abilities including problem solving, designing, coding and debugging.
• Hands-on experience with L2/L3 protocols (e.g., MLAG, VLAN, STP, OSPF, BGP, EVPN).
• Experience with test tools such as Ixia or Spirent and test management.
• Proficiency with HP ALM.
• Experience working on Unix/Linux OS.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to multitask.
• Solid foundation in software engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Functional testing of Layer2 and Layer3 features of NVIDIA-Mellanox Spectrum switching systems running NVIDIA-Cumulus Linux.
• Write and maintain detailed feature and system test plans; design test beds and topologies.
• Identify and log defects, validate fixes and workarounds in the defect tracking system.
• Develop automated test suites for NVIDIA-Cumulus Linux features.
• Build and maintain automation to ensure quality through continuous functional regression.
• Collaborate with design, test and other engineering groups to identify and resolve issues.
