Job summary

Ninth Brain is seeking a QA Software Analyst to ensure the quality and reliability of our software solutions. This remote role, based in Michigan, requires attendance at quarterly in-person team meetings and events.

You will develop test plans, execute manual and automated tests, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive QA improvements. A 2–4 year QA background, strong testing skills in .NET, and remote-work experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or related field (or equivalent).
• 2–4 years of software testing/QA experience.
• 6+ months of remote work experience.
• Knowledge of QA methodologies and testing types.
• Experience gathering requirements to define testing objectives.
• Proficiency in debugging and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Experience testing in the .NET framework.
• Understanding of DevOps practices in SDLC.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, cases, and scripts.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Developers, and Designers for requirements and integration.
• Identify, document, track defects, and coordinate with development teams to resolve issues.
• Continuously improve QA processes by adopting industry best practices.
• Provide clear testing reports including severity and impact.
• Ensure final product aligns with client expectations and UX goals.
