Job summary

TSP is seeking a NetApp Resident to help build, maintain, and improve an infrastructure automation platform using Python in a remote United States role.

Join a collaborative Agile team with SRE, product, and operations, delivering reliable software, automated tests, and CI/CD pipelines while mentoring junior engineers.

Candidates should have 5+ years of Python experience, strong OO design, and cloud + microservice know-how.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional Python development.
• Experience with Git workflows and Bitbucket.
• Design APIs and microservices with cloud context.
• Familiar with Agile ceremonies.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools.
• Experience with infrastructure automation (IaC) and configuration management.
• Familiarity with storage technologies and OpenAPI spec.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and improve infrastructure automation platform using Python.
• Collaborate with product, SRE, and operations teams in an Agile environment to deliver reliable, well-tested software and automation that scales.
• Design and implement clean, maintainable Python code for services and automation.
• Use Git, Jira, and Bitbucket for source control, branching strategies, and pull-request workflows.
• Work in an Agile team: sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, backlog refinement.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated tests, and deployment/runbook documentation.
• Troubleshoot, profile, and optimize application and automation performance.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team best practices.
