VAE, Inc. is seeking an experienced Software Developer to support a C5ISR program. The role emphasizes Python-based development and Ansible-driven infrastructure automation. It is a hands-on, fast-paced environment where you will contribute immediately to mission-critical systems.

The ideal candidate will design, develop, test, and automate software across the SDLC, collaborating with government customers and engineers to deliver secure, reliable solutions. Must have active clearance.

Qualifications

Active Secret clearance required.
Active DoD 8570 certification required.
Strong, hands-on experience developing software in Python.
Strong, hands-on experience automating with Ansible.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and automation tooling in Python.
Build and maintain Ansible playbooks and roles to automate configuration management, deployment, and provisioning.
Collaborate with systems engineers, program stakeholders, and government customers to translate requirements into working software.
Troubleshoot and resolve defects, performance issues, and integration challenges across environments.
Participate in code reviews, documentation, and follow SDLC practices.
Support integration across C5ISR systems ensuring security and technical compliance.
