Job summary

CodeRoad Inc. seeks an Intermediate Python Backend Engineer (Level 2) to design, build, and maintain scalable Python microservices on AWS. You will integrate AI features like LLM APIs, Bedrock, and RAG workflows, while collaborating with US-based stakeholders in an agile setting.

You’ll own backend execution, ensure high performance and security, and contribute to cloud ecosystem reliability. This is a 100% remote role with growth opportunities and competitive USD compensation.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of backend Python experience (AsyncIO, FastAPI/Django/Flask, SQLAlchemy).
• 1–2+ years deploying serverless and containerized services on AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, ECS, RDS, DynamoDB).
• Experience building RESTful APIs and working with Docker and Git workflows.
• Practical exposure to AI/GenAI workflows (LLM APIs, LangChain, Bedrock).
• Strong relational DB knowledge (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL basics.
• Ownership mindset with problem-solving and continuous learning.
• Advanced English proficiency (B2+/C1) for US collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design & Build high-performance Python APIs and microservices on AWS.
• Integrate AI capabilities into backend architectures and RAG pipelines.
• Optimize cloud DB operations with SQL/NoSQL across RDS and DynamoDB.
• Lead tests with TDD and maintain API docs (pytest).
• Collaborate with US clients in daily standups and sprints.
• Monitor system health and refactor for efficiency.
